We are very pleased to announce that the SSIP Assessor Refresher training course is now live and accessible via our website https://ssip.org.uk/ssip-assessor-refresher-training/

All Assessors are required to undertake this course on a 3 yearly basis (or more frequently if desired) to confirm their status as an SSIP Approved Assessor.

Any Assessor that attended the initial 1 day Assessor training course prior to June 2015 must ensure this refresher course is completed by 01/10/2018.  To support the launch we are giving all members 3 ½ months to ensure assessors requiring training complete the course.  Moving forward we expect this training to be completed within 3 years and 30 days of the initial course attendance.  Additionally, all Audits undertaken by SSIP and/or UKAS after this date will expect Assessors to have completed the refresher course.

The Rules and Bylaws, in particular Appendix 16 will be updated in due course to reflect the above requirement.

Please review your assessors and enrol on the course where necessary, additionally, this may be an opportune moment to ensure all your assessors have also joined the SSIP Assessor Register.  If not further information is available <here>.

It is important to mention at this point that whilst the online refresher training is hosted by NQA no information is shared with them.

Finally, please be advised that when your assessor logs in to complete the course a course date is indicated of 31/12/2018 – this is a ‘dummy’ date and is not reflective of course availability.
