The Considerate Constructors Scheme is a not-for-profit, independent organisation founded in 1997 by the construction industry to improve its image. The Scheme monitors any area of construction activity that may have a direct or indirect impact on the image of the industry as a whole. Each year, around 7,000 construction sites, SME companies, suppliers, client and professional partners register with the Scheme and agree to abide by the Code of Considerate Practice in order to raise standards in considerate construction.

The Scheme hosts the Best Practice Hub, a comprehensive online resource showcasing best practice in the construction industry, providing a wealth of tips, expertise, guidance and case studies to help constructors learn from their peers and raise industry standards.
