Milton Keynes City Council Joins SSIP as a Supporter Member

Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) is pleased to welcome Milton Keynes City Council as its newest Supporter Member.

Milton Keynes City Council joined SSIP in August 2026 as a Supporter Member, becoming part of the SSIP forum and demonstrating its dedication to promoting, improving and enhancing health and safety standards within the industry.

Supporting Safer, Smarter Procurement

For a council managing a wide range of contracts, from construction and highways to grounds maintenance and building services, having an efficient and recognised way of assessing contractor competence is essential. Supporter Membership gives Milton Keynes City Council a practical route to procure with confidence, while supporting a more joined-up approach to health and safety across the supply chains it works with.

Milton Keynes City Council said: “Milton Keynes City Council values the use of SSIP supporters’ membership because it provides a recognised and efficient way of assessing contractor health and safety competence, helping us procure the right teams with confidence while promoting safer standards and effective project delivery.”

The Chair of SSIP, Eleanor Eaton (CMIOSH, FIIRSM, PGCert), said: “We’re delighted to welcome Milton Keynes City Council as a Supporter Member of SSIP. It reflects the continued confidence that local authorities place in SSIP as a framework for safer, more consistent procurement, and we look forward to supporting the Council as it continues to raise standards across its supply chain.”

Milton Keynes City Council’s Supporter Membership reflects the continuing value of SSIP’s mission: helping buyers and suppliers work together through a common framework that supports safety, competence and smarter procurement.
