Our aim is to reduce duplication within the supply chain and advise that all assessments undertaken by SSIP member schemes are equivalent and are carried out against our threshold standard which is the SSIP Core Criteria.
SSIP endeavours to promote the equivalence of all assessments with the ability to verify assessment data on the SSIP Portal, which is a free accessible resource.
SSIP Assessment Standard
Any suppliers who hold a valid assessment and are requested to undergo an assessment with another SSIP member are advised to use the following ‘model letter to buyers’ and send this to any prospective buyers/clients.
This letter confirms that an assessment is in place and also that the SSIP assessment is recognised and the core criteria is approved by the HSE.
