Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) is pleased to welcome The Lighting Industry Association Ltd (LIA) as its 50th Supporter Member, bringing the total number of SSIP members to 100.
The LIA joined SSIP as a Supporter Member, becoming part of the SSIP forum and demonstrating its dedication to promoting, improving and enhancing health and safety standards within the industry.
A Milestone for SSIP’s Growing Community
Reaching 100 Members reflects the continued appetite among public and private sector organisations alike for a recognised, consistent approach to contractor health and safety assurance. Each new member, from local authorities to trade associations, adds to a growing forum committed to reducing duplication and raising standards across UK supply chains.
Representing the Lighting Industry
The LIA is a trade association supporting the UK lighting industry and its supply chain.
On joining SSIP, the LIA said: “SSIP Supporter Membership is an opportunity to help promote consistent, proportionate health and safety practices across the lighting industry. As a trade association, we value the opportunity to contribute to industry discussions, giving us a voice in shaping best practice, and representing the interests of our members.”
The Chair of SSIP, Eleanor Eaton (CMIOSH, FIIRSM, PGCert), said: “Welcoming The Lighting Industry Association as our 100th Member is a fantastic milestone for SSIP. It reflects the trust that organisations across the public and private sectors continue to place in SSIP as a framework for safer, more consistent procurement, and we look forward to working with the LIA as it champions higher standards across the lighting industry.”
The LIA’s Supporter Membership reflects the continuing value of SSIP’s mission: helping buyers and suppliers work together through a common framework that supports safety, competence and smarter procurement.
